My First Matcha arrived today, any tips?

So btw, I am getting spoiled I must say- My hibiki-an order arrived today. Yummy, and I would order again for sure, but I think my fave thus far is the slightly pricier O-Cha Organic Kaoru, which, interestingly enough, isn't even grown in Uji.

Also got my wooden whisk-keeper from O-cha... that thing rocks. I love the Japanese tea aesthetic... I might have to move there...

And last but certainly not least, the polished cherry-wood Chasaji Sencha-spoon arrived. It is one of the most elegant tea implements I have seen...

Aha, very good. Yesterday I just happened to order Kaoru Matcha and that same sakura spoon. I must have gotten the very last one, as its now sold out. I have had Matcha Superior from Hibiki, and it is enjoyable. However, I have just ordered the proper tools from o-cha in hopes of making a better cup.

Nice. I have the hibiki-an matcha premium, not the pinnacle or superior. At first I thought the Kaoru was better, but the hibiki-an is growing on me- They are both excellent, just different.

One thing is for sure, I love matcha....

Yup, I'm thinking of starting my own tea ceremony society... the Joel-asenke Society.

The process in my version will be:

1. Mix matcha

2. Drink matcha

3. Mix more matcha

4. Drink matcha

5. Repeat

6. Buy more matcha

That sound good? Maybe it's too American....
