I am very new to tea. I have been introduced by my birthmother once making me a cup of celestial seasonings raspberry as a kid, and occasionally I made a cup of chamomile growing up to help me sleep at night but nothing really else.
I had found chocolate mint tea at my favorite herb shop a fews years ago, in a glass jar. I brought it home and loved it but thought boiling water in a pot and all that was too much effort, so it fell by the wayside. I recently bought an Argo Tea drink from the local convenience shop and it was like a door opened. Suddenly- tea became the best thing EVER. I became a tea fiend.
Well sad to say Teavana was my next unintentional stop in my tea journey as I bought a cast-iron tetsubin I really liked for many years(black iron w/ golden dragons on it) and finally indulged in. I have been hooked on tea since and got my own tea kettle! I have branched out since to Adagio tea after being displeased with what I've read of Teavana's practices.
I am reading all I can on this forum bit by bit. I also found a strange yixing that I posted about over in the other sub-forum and I'm very curious about it

About me: I'm almost 30, an artist, post-grad retail worker living on my own with my fiance, 10 gerbils, a betta fish, and a spiny mouse.
