NEW! Official Teaware of the Day!
Having some hojicha from ippodo in this set up. Part of my ever growing collection of porcelain that I seem to have begun to find appealing.
TAD when you think you have the virus contained it mutates into a new, vaccine resistant strain.
Anyway this is just cheap junk I picked up so I could brew big pots of hojicha in the evening and brew black/Chinese/red/English style tea as we'll (I have to counteract the gallons of green tea I routinely drink here).
The pot was only 200yen, and the cup was probably around 500yen.

If the teapot brews well and your are happy about them, they do not deserve to be called junk!blairswhitaker wrote:Having some hojicha from ippodo in this set up. Part of my ever growing collection of porcelain that I seem to have begun to find appealing.

Last night's tea session:
Tea boat with snowflake glaze by Mirka Randova
Yixing teapot from Red Blossom (reserved for pu-erhs)
Teacup with snowflake glaze by Petr Novak - This cup, part of a trio, was cracked when I received it. But it is still beautiful and functional, so it has become my everyday cup
Ceramic kettle from LIn's Ceramics Studio.

Ah....you got the lovely snowflake teaboat! I ogled that one quite frequently but really didn't have a place for it. Glad it's found a good home and good use.

It's a lovely piece. And the picture does not do it justice.debunix wrote:Ah....you got the lovely snowflake teaboat! I ogled that one quite frequently but really didn't have a place for it. Glad it's found a good home and good use.

Oh, it's so good to see that beautiful teaboat--I came THIS close to ordering it, but between VAT and shipping (and the exchange rate on the euro), reluctantly decided I just could not afford it ... so glad to see it's in good hands!
