Hou De?
Has anyone here tried Hou De's Taiwanese oolongs? Price/selection is very attractive, but the minimum size is a turn-off. Don't want to be stuck with 150g of gaoshan if I don't like it.

Re: Hou De?
I know this is old, but I'm surprised that nobody responded.
Hou De is one of the better ones in the west. If you haven't already, you should keep looking; most of his teas start at 50g. Most are also a little on the expensive side. However, if you place an order then you can request a sample in the comments (no guarantees, but you can always ask; you're definitely more likely to get a sample of something that doesn't cost that much).

Re: Hou De?
This year he's selling his gaoshan in the original 150g packages with no samples available. I'll order some when I'm all out, his prices are excellent.ABx wrote:I know this is old, but I'm surprised that nobody responded.

I have two of the 150g teas...the A Li Shan and the Shan Lin Shi. The Shan Lin Shi I've opened and I like it quite a bit. It's not mind blowing or anything, but it is a good value for the quality. I've always had good luck with Hou De.
