Fake vs Real, old vs young...: Puerh tasting challenge idea.

Here is the idea. This would be a taste sampler with teas identified by number not name. Only after everyone has time to choose a favorite and discuss the teas would the identities be revealed.

The line-up might have:

Menghai 7542 from around 1995
7542 imitator from around 1995
Menghai 7542 from around 2005
7542 imitator from around 2005

Something like that. The point would be to use very famous teas and really put them to the test. Fun AND educational.

I would not mind helping organize this. But, I am not enough of an expert to choose teas (or even know if I have bought what I think I've bought 100%) But I think this could be so much fun.

Uh, I could probably put that list together from my collection.

What you'd get are green, brown and browner. The taste goes from kick in the teeth to kick in the pants. Take your choice.

That's a really cool idea! I'd definitely be down.
