Induction kettle

CNET posted an article on a new induction kettle, which basically would allow you to boil water in your cup (and thus avoid wasting energy by heating a lot of water in a large normal kettle that you don't normally immediately use).

Interesting idea, but seems impractical for brewing tea by any method that would normally involve a teapot...
