Ebay showing 0 articles in Chinese Stores?!

by VanFersen » Feb 24th, '15, 10:45

Ahoi tea-folks,

I am not sure if that's the right spot to put this topic in but this really is getting massively on my nerves. I am not sure if you experienced this problem before. For a really long time I am not using any European Ebay site anymore because mostly every Chinese store you want to look through their shops shows 0 items but if you are searching in ebay for example "Yixing tea pots" there are some results (but much less as in the .com version of ebay) and if you click on one of those links it shows me the tea pot but when I try to click on the right side on one of the buttons like, lets take this for an example:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/291140089320?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

So and when I try to click on one of the buttons "junzilai shop" or "see other items" I reach a blank site without any articles but this isn't possible. To take this very seller again as an example I was able to find at least 7 articles just by searching the main search surface on ebay. So it is not possible that this seller got 0 articles in his store.

I use Google Chrome. I already erased all my cookies, Catches etc... but still no change. This is so weird.

Shops are likely closed because of the Spring Festival (lunar New Year). Most stuff shuts down for about 2 weeks around the Spring Festival, and likely not much will be getting sent in / out, so sellers have probably shut down their stores to avoid angry customers.

If you go to the seller's main storefront, you'll see a notice about it.

I know what you mean, I've noticed it several times myself in the past. Unfortunately, I still don't know why it happens or how to fix it. At first I thought the shop had closed down (Red Lantern Tea for example, visited through ebay.at), but then I found it operates normally if I visit it through ebay.com. Weird...

Wyardley: good suggestion, but this is happening throughout the year, so it can't be because of the Spring festival.

Correct. Because this is a problem on a constant matter. But it seems that now also ".com" seems to be more and more infiltrated by those changes. I mean I would understand if it is a seller with a lot of negative feedback but a lot of those sellers got 100%. That's really strange.

Checked that the company you do not see the items, ships to your country?

That happens to me too, and when I use the main eBay site! Sometimes I use eBay UK to get around it
