
Is it what it is? Yixing Clay Question!
I am not sure if you could tell just by looking at this picture but is it possible that this teapot really is made of Aged Duan Ni? Because the clay looks really untypical more like a mixed one. But seller wrote that it is aged duan ni.

looks like it's a yaobian duanni pot (it's the effect of a firing method, usually you get this with wood firing). maybe some teachat potter could give a detailed explanation!

I own a pot like the second one... same seal, same style.
the seal says Wang NanLin, a famous qing potter. but it's obviously a much later pot, maybe from the 1960s...

That Taiwan resident Russian guy is the owner of an incredible collection of Yixings, all Taiwanese sourced but from mainland origing, following Chiang Kai-shek's, the KMT and all of their followers 'migration' to Formosa.
