but high-quality Tanyang would beat mid-quality Keemun anyday...it's that way

Does Adagio actually produce tea worth buying?

I've been wanting to try Tanyang. I seem to thoroughly enjoy Fujianese black tea, so I'm sure I'll at least like it.

Havent heard of Tanyang before reading this post last week. I was browsing Teavirve and found they have Tangyang. I've never ordered from them so can't say if it's good or not. http://www.teavivre.com/catalogsearch/r ... q=tan+yang

I wouldn't call it high quality by any means! It's good for people who are very new to loose leaf and the world of tea. Accessible.

My metaphor is - grocery store bagged tea is like Hersheys/Cadbury, brands like Adagio or Teavana are like Lindt/Ghiradelli chocolate, especially with all the weird fruity flavors, and it just goes up from there! (Except, unlike chocolate, tea just keeps going up and up and up... and there are many, many more varieties to try).

From what I've seen Adagio's about the same quality as Teavana or Harney and Sons, and slightly less overpriced than Teavana. Their teaware is very nice cheap beginner stuff as well.
