I've put this among my fellow ITDers because 1. I don't want to sound braggish and 2. I want some good advice.
I am in the enviable position of having some gift certificates for tea from Adagio. (The blends). Anyway, I've gotten a fair amount of tea, but I'm wondering if perhaps I should update my teaware. I have the utilitea that I love. I have a tetsubin that I brew my tea in. I was thinking about either the iced tea duo (I drink a lot of iced tea in the summer.) or maybe the ingenutea. (I can't use the trinitea -- I live a high altitude).
My question is not only that, but also what teas would you recommend that I try. Remember, I like blacks and oolongs. I love Wuyi and TKY. Not big into greens, except Gemmaicha but I have yet to try my sample of sencha premier.
Thoughts? Mutterings?

If you're going to go for teaware, I'd say to break it down to what will provide the greatest amount of practical value. If you're using a stove top kettle or something that takes a while then the kettle would probably be best if that's the one you really want. If you drink lots of iced tea but have no convenient way of making it, then I'd go that route, etc.
Sky,
My favorites from Adagio are their yunnans. The jig is nice but the golden yunnan is a whole different world from its counterpart. Both are very delicious. I don't know how big you are on flavored teas, but their peach as well as their passionfruit are lovely.
As far as teaware, I have one of their glass teapots (which I love) and a glass mug. I say you can always use more cups.
the ingenuitea is fantastic, and i'm sure you'd like the duo.
Also, ya know you could send a trinitea to one of use who could make use of it. *evil grin*

Now, Fencer, that would assume that I am a kind and generous person.fencerdenoctum wrote: Also, ya know you could send a trinitea to one of use who could make use of it. *evil grin*

Which, I am NOT.

I had been thinking about the yunnan gold and yunnan jig, neither of which I have tried.
