I ran out of adolescent/aged sheng about a year ago and haven't bought much pu-erh at all in the past few years. I've got a few cakes/bricks/tuo's around 5-10yrs old but I'm not really in the mood to wait another 5-10 years on the off chance my cupboard makes tea like a Chinese warehouse to taste nice pu-erh again.
Was hoping for some recommendations for samples or maybe tuos of nicely aged sheng or pointers towards vendors. The Manadarin's Tea Room, Essence of Tea and Hou de are what I've been looking at the past few days but just curious about other options, I'm a little out of the loop.

Re: Small parcels of aged sheng, where are they?
Are you capable of drinking small tree 2008 Youle and 2009 Mang Zhi? I've also got some old tree 2007 Yiwu for sale

Please ask Chip, the moderator, to list you as a Vendor Member. All vendors are labeled on Teachat so other members know who they are chatting with.teafood wrote:I have a lot of Tuo/Pu'er which bought from a tea factory in yunnan, China. If you want to try, I can sent you free samples to try before you buy.
I am base in HongKong and running a tea store.

If you're looking mainly for samples, then http://www.sampletea.com/ is a good site to try. I've had some delicious aged sheng samples from there. There's quite a bit available though, so you've got to pick and choose carefully!
White2Tea is another good one. Paul maintains a well-curated stock of quality tea.

In addition to the vendors mentioned above, I could recommend TeaClassico for properly traditionally stored aged sheng. Both of their 90s ZhenCangPin versions and the 80s YinMingHao are must try, IMHO.
Also, check ChaWangShop - it is a great source for less famous, and thus usually cheaper semi-aged teas.

Might want to get hooked up on social media like Instagram or Imgur or Steepster with other puerh drinkers. People do a lot of swapping. Someone might want one of your younger teas in exchange.
