Ladytiger wrote:The package from Victoria came! The Orange Blossom, from Chado, smells really good. She even sent along some green tea, Sky Between the Branches, from the Republic of Tea, and perfume. As for the other oolongs I got peach and ti kuan yin goddess, from Adagio, and milk oolong from tea cuppa. So many choices I don't know where to start!
Awww enjoy my dear!!

I'm brewing some of that Chado Orange Blossom right now.
It is an amazing flavored oolong. Very bold! And the aroma is just awesome.

Hehe. Who was the wiseBLEEP who voted that he/she eats the tea leaves after brewing? (Newbee many calories are in tea leaves and is there any protein? Hmm. )

I'm on my third cup of green mint tea. I was more interested in having the tea than I was in thinking about lunch! (Typical newbie thing, I guess!)

I have two one once tins of darjeeling #22 that adagio sent me for free. I doubt I'll like them. If anyone wants me to mail them to you, send me a PM! First come, first serve!

Edit: Ms. Matcha, Matcha wo-man was the first to contact me. :)

Went from my usual Yunnan Gold to Golden Monkey and am really needing lunch but busy I guess I'm China black tea-fueled today!

When I drink green or very green oolongs really need to snack with them, or I'll get woozy.

Still trying to recoup from flu. Yesterday was a no tea day :( as spent the day taking 16 mth old to dr & taking care of him (flu & ear infection) plus getting ready for a special Valentine dinner at home last night.

On the upside, got to use one of my presents from hubby today. He got me a nice 16 oz mug which held some delightful chocolate mint tea that I enjoyed this morning.

Regarding the poll question, it almost made me laugh. Some days I struggle to find time to boil water for tea much less miss a meal over it. Plus it's hard to miss meals when you're in charge of making them. Hope everyone has a great day!

I'm infamous for missing meals. I have three children under the age of 6, and although I make sure they always eat (and eat well) at least three times a week I eat after midnight.

And I've missed quite a few meals because I had enough tea to sustain me.

Earl Grey is the exception. I never drink it unless I have eaten, or it makes me ill.

THis morning's cup? More Darjeeling.

I've always been more of a drinker than an eater. Whether it be tea, wine, beer or coffee...I like them all (tea obviously at the top) yes, I've occasionally missed a meal from drinking tea in its place. Same with wine, too. Beer often gives me the munchies. I dunno why.

Got some samples of Adagio's pu-erh selections in. Gonna give them a shot.

Drinking Adagio's Darjeeling #22. It's nice - smooth and tasty. This is the first time I am trying it and I did not put enough leaf in the pot, so it's a little weak. Still, a nice light tea, almost green in taste.

I don't skip meals, for tea or anything else. If I skip a meal, I get a migraine. Pretty serious stuff, sorry. I know it was a lighthearted poll.

After my samples from Victoria's Own came I had some of the Milk Oolong and Peach Oolong. The milk oolong was really interesting.

No tea yet today! Missed class and then didn't have time before heading to work, which is where I am now. I'll make a big cup once I get home.

I skip breakfast almost everyday and usually make tea to take to class with me, so does that count? Sometimes I miss lunch too just because of classes!

Oddly enough, I just made some spring darjeeling. Not really my kind of tea, but it wasn't bad.

I skip meals all the time-- I basically never have breakfast, and sometimes I forget/don't have time for lunch. Not related to tea though. :)
