Yeah, it's a mystery to me. 50 to 60% RH suggests air con but the temp is 30C. I have no idea how they manage that. I just brought it up to offer the idea that sub 60% might be OK for tea, but don't quote me. I know very little.

Those humidity readings are based on outdoor ground level readings where the humidity is highest. In an apartment in Bangkok, the higher the elevation, the lower the humidity will be and the use of aircon can further lower it, even at ground level.

I live very high up and my current humidity is about 40%. It can even drop into the 30's. This is the measurement of the room I keep my puerh in and I never use aircon in it. At night, the humidity will rise and of course it will vary with the seasons. This probably slows down the aging process, but I would think with a vendor, it won't make much difference as the idea is to sell the tea, not age it for personal use. It is also a precaution for wet storage where the chance of mold or storage taste doesn't enter the picture.
