Indeed, great craftsmanship. It is rougher than I thought it would be! I like it.

Have you tried any teas in it yet?

Just sencha. Clay needs breaking in though. Finish on the tea is quite dry at first but the pots settle quick

Just in time for Christmas :) Have you used it at all yet?

By the way, how is Hojo's pu'erh? Whenever I look at his tea list I notice that he has a pretty decent selection of it.

Finally used the kyusu today and have become an instant fan even so much to say I prefer it over my yixing. As for the pu-erh, I have only tried one of three I received from Hojo so far, the Du Mu Chun, and it was quite incredible. Hope you are enjoying yours as well, Frisbeehead.

Prefer it to your Yixing, eh? What tea did you use in it?

And good to know, I will have to add some to my cart next time I place an order. I've only had the chance to do a water test with mine, as well as try some sencha in it. It turned out great but I'd like to experiment more. I'm about to use it right now actually, and I'm debating on what tea to do with it. I'm leaning towards shou, but I was also considering yancha. I'd like to try it out with a tea I've already tasted out of a glazed piece, so I have a reference point.
