Gaiwan Help

Ok. I have a few questions:
1)Where to get a good clay gaiwan
2)Do most people drink directly out of the gaiwan, even leaving the leaves in

Do you want clay or porcelain? If clay, your choice is limited to yixing, which is still glazed inside, and porcelain is more readily available.

How long do you want to wait for shipping? If you want to pay less for shipping, I suggest Yunnan Sourcing or Dragon Tea House on ebay.

For shorter, I forget who all is out there. but the gaiwans will usually cost a little more.

As far as drinking from the gaiwan, few do this. When it is done, it's typically from a larger gaiwan and with a much lower leaf/water ratio. It also leads to overbrewing.

Usually you use cooler (about 140-150ish) water when drinking from a gaiwan to prevent overbrewing.
