No idea. I just want to post a Japanese store that sells a lot of Jianzhan-looking tenmoku, though it looks very expensive. See link and scroll half way down the page. There is also a second page. I ended up buying a tenmoku cup from Teaspring. We will see how it looks! huhu.

I have bought from Shoindo before. Good service. I found their equivalent Rakuten site and bought from there, but I like browsing on their original site. I swear they sent me the shipping notice less than an hour after I ordered. They win the prize for fastest! They also gave me a bunny hashioki. : )
Re: Tenmoku, Jian Zhan Info please..
Wow, all the 'cheaper' bowls are all sold out! Only 200k yen and up seems like for availability. Will have to check up later see if there's new additions.bintuborg wrote:No idea. Re: Tenmoku, Jian Zhan Info please..
Teaspring cup arrived. I am very pleased. I have pictures available at this Flickr gallery: Link.
I took pics of the cup (the blue one) and used my small silver cup from Verdant Tea as a comparison. You can see that the Teaspring cup is bluer and it doesn't have a stamp. I also provided a pic of the characters printed on the cardboard box it came with, in case that means anything to anyone here. The Verdant Tea cup was about $40 and the Teaspring one about $60.

Re: Tenmoku, Jian Zhan Info please..
Thanks for the update with pics! It's a very nice cup! At $20 more than the verdant cup I'd say it was well worth it. I'm guessing these cups were maybe fired in higher quantity in an electric kiln, possibly apprentices hence no stamp. But that does not take away from their beautybintuborg wrote:Teaspring cup arrived. I am very pleased. I have pictures available at this Flickr gallery: Link.
