Dragon and Phoenix Cup How Old?

by oolongtimenosee » Feb 2nd, '16, 01:57

Picked this up from a small shop in Guangzhou. Anyone have any idea how old it may be? There is no stamp or signature, but it appears to be hand-painted.

My guess would be ROC, maybe 1930's or 40's

That's pretty much what the merchant said, Republic of China, 1920s-30s.

My grandmother had a set of those including the teapot and milk pot. I wonder if my mother still has some of that set...

theredbaron: yeah, the cup is the perfect size and shape for me, it holds the smell and taste of an oolong really well.

Rui: Would love to see what the rest of the set looks like. I'm very happy with the cup. Very nice feel and design.

You bought that cup from miniature shop in Fangcun , where boss is miniature super nice man and all there is miniature(incluiding his mini pot, mini cups and mini tea table) ?

the cup is from ROC . late, or 50s - 60s time , the early ROC is more thin if I am right.
