Finding videos about Tea and Teaware on Youtube -some tips

by Midwinter_Sun » Feb 27th, '16, 07:40

As a potter, I like listening / watching movies about Tea and Pots when I work.

Some quick tips on materials on youtube. I searched for "goldmark" and did not find anything, so hope this information has not been shared before.

1) Youtube has a filter by time length. so if you search for "Tea" and pick "over 20 minutes long" ( "> 20 minutes" under "filter" dropdown box in search results)

You will get this link

https://www.youtube.com/results?sp=EgIY ... 253D&q=tea

(If link does not work, just resubmit the filter yourself after you run a search)

Now some of those videos are posted by someone that has no right to post the video, so it will be deleted later, so just running a new search is best, I am not posting any direct links.

that said, searching for "pu erh " with the same 20 minutes filter will give you some interesting results

https://www.youtube.com/results?sp=EgIY ... D&q=pu+erh

And don't forget to search for "ceramics", "porcelain" and "pottery",
some interesting documentaries as well!

https://www.youtube.com/results?q=porce ... %253D%253D

That said, there is one particularly amazing official channel by Goldmark gallery - they make feature documentaries on their potters, and they are very very very much recommended!

A good start is Goldmark ceramics feature films channel.

P.S. if the URLs / links do not work, just do a new search and run the filter as I instructed.

Happy hunting!

Thanks for the info, but in case you missed it (I have posted it in the past), here's my favourite tea video:

Taiwan's Golden Treasure

Three part series, parts 2 & 3 are also available on YT.

*****

Enjoy!

No worries good to read you enjoyed it. Definitively you'll enjoy your experience in Taiwan. I also can refer you to a tea drinking group
run by an American who settled in Taiwan some time ago, if you are interested. He was a former Buddhist monk and his place is open to people with a good heart and who love tea.

Cheers!
