Has anyone ever printed puerh tissue wrappers? I've recently become inspired by White2Tea's whimsical style. I know little in the ways of printing but think it would be fun to design some personalized wrappers for certain cakes.
Can anyone provide me some advice on how I might go about this? Thanks a lot!

Re: Printing Puerh Wrappers
Do you want to print at home, or have some professionally printed? With home printing, I'd suspect you'll get a lot of bleed if using an inkjet printer and the regular types of puerh wrapper paper. You'll maybe need to use a less absorbent paper or add something as sizing to prevent the ink being absorbed too much by the paper.Acupuncturist wrote:Has anyone ever printed puerh tissue wrappers? With professional printing, most printing companies should be able to handle it. The one problem (in my opinion) is the smell. Modern printing inks have quite a strong smell, this is especially obvious on heavily coloured puerh wrappers. They really stink, especially when new. This is the main reason why our wrappers have become less and less heavily printed with each year we press cakes. This year, we ended up deciding to eschew traditional printing altogether and just use stamps with water based ink. If going for the traditional printing route, I'd suggest trying to keep your design light, avoiding large blocks of colour.
