I'm offering a Banko Kyusu, Made by Tachi Masaki. I purchased it from Yuuki Cha some years ago. I'm not charging for the teapot, but I will charge for shipping. Lower 48 of the US please.
The handle broke off the day I got it. The lid and spout are still fine, and this pot has seen a ton of use with sencha only.

How big is it? Ive been looking at Tachi Masaki bankos for a while with much desire + I've got some good practice with teapot repairs. If it is a small one, I'd be definitely interested. I am in Canada, but would pay for international shipping.

Wow, I must have been out of it when I wrote about it last night. My bad.
It holds between 225-250 ml.

Thanks. I'll pass on this, it is too big for me. The clay looks beautiful.bryan_drinks_tea wrote:.m. wrote:How big is it? Hi Bryan, I sent you a PM but it looks like it's stuck in my outbox. How much would you charge for shipping to Chicago, IL, 60707?
Re: Bryan_drinks_tea: Offering Banko Kyusu, broken handle
The message isn't stuck in your outbox. It just means that he hasn't read it yet. The system here is... weird.
Re: Bryan_drinks_tea: Offering Banko Kyusu, broken handle
Easy fix with JB Weld! I'm using a Yixing that the handle broke off of when dropped it in the sink. I fixed it pretty much immediately and it's been rock solid ever since. I don't even notice the break much of the time, and it gets a lot of use (almost every week, if I'm in town).

Easy fix with Krazy Glue too, which is what I used once this pot arrived. It's been working fine ever since.

Re: Bryan_drinks_tea: Offering Banko Kyusu, broken handle
JB weld has a much stronger bond, and the color is even compatible with this clay!
Re: Bryan_drinks_tea: Offering Banko Kyusu, broken handle
Yes, JB Weld is much, much stronger than Krazy Glue and actually gets stronger with heat during the bonding stage! It's more of a black/gray than a brown, though
