Thank you for the kind words all. I do appreciate it. And glad to hear you're enjoying the pots and ware already.

I'm not aware of how to do quotes in quotes. Too tricky for me apparently. So @ Jay, happy to hear you were able to identify what is going on with the Fang. A quick search on TC turned this thread up, although it's quite dated: http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=5821. Perhaps ask around and proceed with caution before doing anything too drastic. You could even go with heavydoom's suggestion to "...leave the calcium on the pot, if it does not hinder your pouring out of tea, it adds character to your pot. kinda like a beaten up old leather bag."

And @ Victoria, I did end up drinking the AOI this afternoon after reading your comment. It was quite good and got me through the day, even with no coffee, surprisingly. But I must admit, I do like a cup of black bitter in the AM, at the very least. I know, sounds appetizing.

I'm probably the only person who pulls items as he's selling them. But I've come full circle and have decided to relist the following two Yixing:

1. 40ml early 80's Factory 2 HeiNi Shui Ping (see picture below and page 1 for additional pics) - brand new, never used
$115 (purchased for $156, so $41 in savings) ~~~~~Sold!~~~~~
ShuangXi Cup from Late Qing / Early ROC period FREE with pot

2. 1987-1993 50ml Factory 1 Zini Fang teapot - (seepage 1 for pics) - also brand new, never used, actually still in original wrapper
$115 (original purchase price, but based on J's feedback I think it's worth original price paid) ~~~~~Sold!~~~~~

International 2-day shipping included in price of pots
EoT's 2000 Camphor Aroma Sheng Puerh and previously available 2013 Half-handmade ShuiXian Wuyi Yancha samples included with both pots

Note, the flat Gisui kyusu and Sakura caddy on previous page still up for sale. And last, let me know if you have any questions on the items. Have a good one.

These pots are great value and unavailable from any Western-facing vendor at this time. IMO both are perfect for high fire Wuyicha if that's your thing!

Thanks for the link Ferg! I'll just let the limescale be and I think it will dissolve with time as our water is so soft here. I never get limescale in my kettles and I don't feel like messing with citric acid in the pot, as it already has some patina from use. Was it used for Wuyicha? Your local water must be pretty hard for deposits like that to form!

Thanks for the plug Jay! Yes, I've been told our water from the Great Lakes is pretty hard. Luckily, I have a water softener, so I imagine this helps for tea brewing. I believe the pot was used with a variety of teas including Wuyicha and aged Oolongs. Awesome if it dissolves over time on its own.

Ferg, you've been very generous. Was curious about the 2000 Camphor Aroma Sheng from EoT, so I'm happy to be drinking some now. Looking forward to the Red Blossom Aged Tung Ting and other samples.

Hello all. Just a quick update. With both of the latest Yixing sold, only the following items remain for sale (repeat from previous page):

Purchase both together and I'll reduce the combined price accordingly. Also, I will cover the cost of shipping, 2-day international.

1. Tokoname Mogake Flat Teapot Kyusu by Gisui 250ml (see page 1 for pics)
$150 (Originally paid $223, so $73 in savings)
Including 100g brand new, sealed bag of O-Cha's Sae Midori.

2. Vintage Japanese Cherry Sakura Wood Bark Tea Caddy Container Natsume + Storage Box (see pages 1-2 for pics)
$75 (Originally paid $114, so $39 in savings)
Note, the Sakura caddy is filled to the brim with Tsuen's AOI shincha, which I filled up a few days back. I'm leaving inside for time-being, but can drop in a bag if you prefer. I'm also throwing in previously opened bags, still in cold storage of fridge, of Maiko's Kinari and a small amount of O-Cha's Yutaka Midori.

Buy both items for $200, an additional $25 reduction for a combined savings of $137 from original combined price paid. And all teas listed above included of course.

Please reach out with questions.

Chip,

Please lock this one up. Decided to keep both items after all.

Thanks,
