Yunnan silver needles

White and yellow teas are among the most subtle.

i like hojo's yinzhens

he has two: a normal one and a cheaper 'gushu' one. the claim is that the 'gushu' one is semi-wild, traditional farming practices

I got some from Norbu a long time ago that was lovely, but it's not something I've seen since there, and I did encounter some really harsh teas when searching for more of the same after he stopped carrying it. Hit or miss, and mostly miss.

Thanks guys! I have found some at JK Teashop which I have placed an order for.

I'll let you know if it's any good. ;)

Nothing like the Fujian varieties. I don't have the notes with me at the moment unfortunately because I finished the order by the end of 2017. One thing I remembered is the tea having a lot more body (and character) then the typical white. Very refreshing for hotter weather conditions.

Are you comparing this with the Fujian yin zhen or white teas in general?

Just in general. I found them very different that the run-of-the-mill Fujian types like white peony or silver needles.
