Feb 3rd Discussion

by Bridgette » Feb 3rd, '20, 00:00

Hello communiTEA drinkers,

Today we have Sencha Overture!

The cup develops a sweet flavor reminiscent of tender steamed veggies and fresh seaweed, with a rounded finish that coats the palate at the end. Our Sencha Overture has a classic sencha flavor, perfect for fans of all things 'green.'

Do you agree? What do you think?

Not really into today’s tea but I’m not a green tea fan. But it was nice to try something different

I was a bit slow to try this tea because green tea is my least favorite tea, but I was surprised. This vibrant green tea made a light lime green liquor with the aroma of a grassy summer meadow. It has a light delicately green flavor which is full and smoot. :D

I was hesitant to try this one because I really did not like the Dragonwell I tried last month, but this one was okay. Still not a big fan of unflavored green tea, though. I wish there were an option on CommuniTEA to vote for other than "Loved it" or "Hated it"!

I am definitely not a green tea expert, but does anyone else get a nutty flavor from this tea? It reminds me a little of genmai cha.

I like this tea not love it. It would be terrific along side some sushi. I definitely get the seaweed but also the greens, possibly a rapini flavor.

I typically don't gravitate towards straight green teas. With that being said I actually really enjoyed this one. The tea is very light with a fresh green grassy flavor. This was delicate but still had a touch of sweetness to me which complimented the fresh green flavors nicely. This was a very pleasant green tea.

I can't get much from the nose but more importantly, there is nothing bad either. Smells like green tea, yea. Lovely flavor. One of the reasons I decided to do this tasting of teas was the idea I would get some green teas to taste. I don't' drink much green tea but this Sencha would encourage me to buy some and have it on hand.

I liked this tea a lot.
