Mold on Pu Erh gift

by Mali13 » Jun 17th, '21, 20:07

I received a box of Pu Erh from a friend in China. It has a thin layer of green-gray mold. Please view the attached picture. Is it safe to drink? I am unfamiliar with this type of tea. It is new to me. Thanks for any advice on the safety and the best way to enjoy the tea.

Looks like shou packed into citrus. I wouldn't worry about the tea just rinse it with boiling water. Chen Pi I think.
