I really like this site too - all the recipes I've tried from it have been excellent and the lady who runs it is thoughtful and considerate.
Thanks to Maki I found out about umekaka (I knew about ume boshi and okaka but never realised they could be combined). Reason this is relevant to this thread is that umekaka is a great way to make instant ochazuke when you don't have any salmon.
Some rice, hot green tea and a dollop of umekaka (I mix mine with a dribble of shoyu/soy sauce) makes a simple and satisfying pick-me-up in the evening.
