Blossoming Teas

Ok, I have no experience with Blossoming Teas so I thought I would ask for advise from those who do. I have a couple of examples on my counter at home that I have not tired. Frankly, I just don't know how to brew them. How much water? Steeping time? Can you have a second, third, forth infusion? Any advice would be most appreciative!

Adagio says 212 degrees for 5 minutes. I can't give you much more advice on the parameters than that, trial and error. Don't expect much flavor from my experience. They are more enjoyable for looking at than drinking.

I'll be surprised if you want a second steep.

I have no experience either, but I would guess glass brewing (140-150º water, refilling when needed) would be the best way to go about it.

Scruff, I think it needs to be hotter for them to "bloom", could be wrong.

Sounds like you're planning a hot date! :wink: I got mine from the tea dude that I bought my $80 puck from, so maybe my advice is not so good. Mine came with no instructions, so I err'd on the cooler side. My bloom fell apart after the first full infusion and was quite disappointing. I had to get my tea strainer and waste it. Tea was good, though. You're going to photograph this event, right?
