This year, due to the heavy and severe snow in late Jan, and early Feb, a large number of tea tips prolong to come out. Currently, there are only several tea coming out on the market, such as Meng Ding green tea, a little Dragon Well green tea. Meng Ding green tea was picked in early March and Dragon well tea started to be picked 3 days ago.
Besides, still due to the snow causing lots of tea to suffer damage, the cost of new tea will be round 20% higher than that of last year. Anyway, the quality is sure to be better than last year, cos there is an old saying in China, big snow indicates good harvest.
As to other five categories of tea, they will be approximately 15-20days late on the market. For oolong tea, probably it is in late May or early June, Black tea, in May. Anyway, tea lovers can taste a comparatively better tea this year from China.
