What kind of cup?

by eponine454 » Apr 13th, '08, 19:39

howdy folks!

I was just thinking of getting an ingenuiTEA and was wondering if there are any specific cups required to go with it (since it doesn't look like it comes with one...)

Will it work with ANY cup?

TIA!

It works best with a cup/mug that fits the diameter. The glass Adagio mug is perfect. As a bonus you get to see the nice color of the tea.

If you use a cup that is too big, you will have to use a spoon or other implement, while holding the ingenuiTea over the cup, and pushing up on the bottom to release the tea. It can be done, it can be messy too.

Too small a diameter will work, you can still set the ingenuiTea on top. But if the volume is less, you have to watch for over flowing.

If you stick with the glass mug, all this can be avoided.
:D

Actually, if your mug's diameter is too big for the IngenuiTea, you can just hold it to one side and use the mug's top edge to release the tea. Works for me, anyway.

Holding off to the side is what I do with mine when I use a large mug. But most of the time I use the glass mug, so I don't worry about diameter
Life is like a cup of tea, savor it slowly or it will be gone too fast

Wow, thanks for the responses...

To take my curiosity one step further...What's the diameter of the glass cup?

Thanks!

The Adagio glass mug is 8 cm or 3.15 inches wide. http://www.adagio.com/teaware/clarity_c ... d07d1abd62[/url]
