I have that one too for trips, fits in a pocket very nicely and works fine. The case doubles nicely as a weigh container because the weigh platform is so small.RussianSoul wrote:I just ordered this one from Amazon the other day. $10! Loved the price.

btw, I only use the scale to make sure vendors aren't ripping me off. There are other more accurate ways of putting the right amount of tea in your brew vessel.

That scale is nice..."I want."
It is amazing how many scales are available today compared to several years ago and they are really inexpensive.

Welcome.greenisgood wrote:Yeah Chip, thanks for layin' out those weights. I personally don't own a scale but its interesting as a comparison. I was just noticing today as I made my morning Darjeeling (most of the time done in a sleepy stupor) that I've been using a lot less leaf that I would think if I actually looking at what I was doing and comparing to other teas. I guess I'm used to making Japanese tea and oolongs, but yeah, a little black tea goes a long way.
Yeah...when you are going from one tea type to another a lot, the difference is amazing.

I think we have to thank the high standard of integrity maintained in the drug industry for that. A tea vendor might worry a little about Tenuki getting up in his face, but not so much about him walking in with a 9 mm, bicycle chains, or baseball bats.Chip wrote:It is amazing how many scales are available today compared to several years ago and they are really inexpensive.
That's more my style. Me and my man Wesli. And I don't mean that Hollywood pansy Snipes. I mean the REAL Wesli, Wesli of TeaChat PM. Man, have you seen that guy's mad stylin' avatar? Props

It is so easy to destroy a rep and so hard to butch it back up again!
Looks similar to the scale I purchased recently for a woppin' $8 shipped. Seems to do the job just fine. It weighed my change accurately anyways.RussianSoul wrote:I just ordered this one from Amazon the other day. $10! Loved the price.

You don't know me.Salsero wrote:A tea vendor might worry a little about Tenuki getting up in his face, but not so much about him walking in with a 9 mm, bicycle chains, or baseball bats.

Yeah, but like others I wanted the free Amazon shipping. Mine came in yesterday, but, alas, I didn't get a box of them. Amazon doesn't love me.Salsero wrote:Im sure there are many suppliers of that scale. If you google it, you will probably find a dozen places you can buy. Though I can't guarantee that all of them will send you six for the price of one!

Like Auggy I also recieved a box of six scales (My Weigh 400-Z). I called Amazon and told them that others, at least Auggy and I and probably more, have gotten boxes of six scales. The woman I talked to was surprised and said she would try to correct the error. That's hard on business selling six for the price of one!
I like the scale very much. It is very accurate measuring in 1/10 gram increments. The cover you weigh the tea in is a little small but I appreciate that it takes up much less counter space than the one I was using previously.
