by trent » Apr 27th, '08, 19:24

I know some of you obsess over artistic nippon as much as I do. So, I thought we could create a thread where we post new products at artistic nippon.

If you can, please upload a pic, link, and price.

To start it off, here's some new hokujo ware:

Could be, if so, not much of a markup between the catalog and AN. I think the Yohen I was looking at may be Page 48 number 1001.

Moot point anyway, because the tokoname.or.jp people never got back to me, whereas Toru responds right away... Meaning, I may or may not admit to having another AN order en route as we speak, just in time for Shincha Season ;)

Yes, lucky Joel! I kinda hope those tokoname catalog peeps get back to me though, they have some gorgeous sencha cups, and AN doesn't have much by way of cuppery...

That Ryokudei yuzamashi (that green one) is gorgeous and would totally mesh with my current wares. I want it. I want it bad. It would make a great faircup for any of my gaiwans, but I would also like to use it as a yuzamashi with my sencha pot.

The problem is, my sencha pot has a capacity of 9 ounces and the Ryokudei has a capacity of 6.3. Too big a difference?

I don't think so. Even from a large kyusu I only brew 5-6 oz.

For me 360ml (12oz) is already a very large kyusu...
I don't like to wait between infusions, so 4 consecutive steeps x 4-5 oz = 16-20 oz of sencha...
