Both are xi shi pots combining functionality and aesthetic aspect. I won't restrict the usage only for beginner. Like the suggestion by other teachat member to me, better to have a reference brew of the same tea with same amount water, tea, steeping time using gaiwan or gaibei (or probably ceramic glas covered with lid??) and compare this reference with that brewed using your yixing pot. If you find improvement of your pot's brew after couple of steeping (I don't know how many times exactly), then it is reasonable to use your pot.shogun89 wrote: Basically would these teapots be well suited for a first time yixing teapot owner. also alot of people say that after about 4 steeps the tea tastes better from a yixing. I this true?
