Did you ever see the Shibawanko cartoons? These were aired on the Japanese network NHK, and are based on the children's books of the same name. Shibawanko is a shiba puppy and her friend Mikenyanko is a cat; they explore Japanese culture together.
One episode was devoted to sencha (see below), and another one to wagashi - Japanese sweets that are eaten with tea.

coffee ... but if you like Japanese and funny-cute, you might enjoy it.
Latte-kun's Depression
This is about a little bear named Latte-kun who is a barista. There's a whole series of cartoons about him (stop-motion animation actually), but I think this is the best. It has to do with the "depression" Latte-kun suffers when he thinks he's being snubbed by his fellow bear-istas. Hilarious.
