What everyone else said
My teas don't change dramatically over the year, but they do change. Fresh new Japanese green teas in the springtime, chilled mugicha in the summer! And while I drink Japanese greens all year round, I'm likelier to break into the non-Japanese teas in wintertime. It's something about those darker flavours...

national oolong month, sal? do tell
the teas i crave shift from season to season based on the prevalence of particular kinds of days, but typically not to the extent that i develop associations between particular teas and seasons. but i have a feeling some patterns are developing and will present themselves as time goes by. also, i kind of like going with opposites, so or instance, a fresher, lighter tea like a white on a dark winter's day can really hit the spot.

I am waiting for the mail to come and see if fresh grass clipping have arrived. Til then, I am finishing 5 steeps of Tokusen sencha from Ono prefecture...blah blah blah...
Seasonal shifts are pretty disceet for me since I drink so much green year round. Definitely...lighter teas sound much more appealing as the weather warms.
They say, Long Jing (dragonwell) has a cooling effect on the body...so, don't drink it in the Winter
Good question Chip, I wonder that too.Chip wrote:My eyes are more focused now...nice pic. I wonder how many times we can post this pic today...this is number 4!tenuki wrote:Every month is oolong month!Salsero wrote:So far today, Shan Lin Xi in celebration of National Oolong Month.
