Thanks - I never would have seen it...But Lipton and Salada??? Sad.

I'd never heard of Dr. Tea... his name is Mark Ukra, and of course he is hawking a book called "The Ultimate Tea Diet". The segment was ok... they did talk about how all teas come from the same plant, how the antioxidant benefits are present in all the teas and not just the greens, differentiated Rooibos but called it "Red Tea", and talked about the virtues of loose leaf over bags. They showed some supermarket bags now containing more whole leaf and better quality bags not made of paper.
And, naturally, Dr. Tea has his own line of teas designed to "curb cravings"... flavored blends mimicking desserts, etc. Looked much like the signature blends I get from Adagio.
The View gals were all about to knock each other down to sip all the different varieties, and Whoopi noted that she drinks tea every morning instead of coffee.
Too bad the segment wasn't long enough to get more into quality teas versus cheap crap... but people usually start cheap and find their own way to the better stuff in time. At least this sort of thing might prompt some new users to give tea a try.
