Spotted in Christine Rillo's
June musings on
TeaMuse:
World Tea Expo also had a movie night this year;
The Meaning of Tea
was screened the first night of the show. It is a new documentary by Tea Dragon Films, and discusses the role of tea in different cultures within this fast-paced, tech savvy society we live in now.
The website includes the trailer plus a couple of clips on tea in Morocco and England. Looks like you can also order the DVD, the CD soundtrack, and (eventually) a companion book from the site, too.
Has anyone here seen it yet?

I'm skeptical about it. Reading the synopsis, I get the impression that it will be very new-agey and nostalgic. "Inherent 'meaning' to be found in tea"? Yeah, right.
Still, I hope it is better than my cynical self imagines it will be. I'd love to read people's reports!
