I have just Ippodo's Kanro, their premium gyokuro, the third best gyokuro they sell
The fifth steep was a little weak, but it is a nice gyokuro which I gives a ***/**** ratings.
It cost 2000 yen (20$) for 50gr which is a little expensive for daily gyokuro, but still affordable.
I should make a simultaneous comparison with Ippodo's Ippoen (30$/100gr) which gives slightly more powerful infusions but doesn't seem to be worth the +50% price.
I don't think to have Ippoen in cold storage so it will wait my next order.
I hear you - the problem is that once you taste the good stuff - very hard to go back. This is addictive. There have been times, while going to sleep at night I have thought of how my tea is going to taste in the morning !tenuki wrote:thank goodness i'm satisfied with adagio's goykuro, I really don't need another expensive taste.

Yes, I know, expensive oolong, expensive darjeeling, expensive bi luo chung and dragonwell, expensive puerh, expensive matcha, I just don't need to add sencha and goykuro to that list...inspectoring wrote:I hear you - the problem is that once you taste the good stuff - very hard to go back.
