This morning, I brewed a cup of ginger peach black tea. I dislike the astringent and dry aftertaste of black tea, and wished this was an oolong!
Are there any oolongs you have tried that taste like ginger and peach?
Thanks, Victoria! Have you (or Tenuki) purchased from this vendor before?Victoria wrote:Zhi has one, never tried it though:

No I haven't. I would suspect if you like that flavor combo you will like it.
Or you could try blending your own on Adagio.

Good timing, too!! You'll have a little non-tea surprise in your mail on Thursday from me for all your wonderful help.

I'm currently in love with Revolution's DragonEye Oolong which is a blend of peach, apricot, safflower, marigold, and ginger. If it were a loose tea that allowed me to control the brew more, it would be practically perfect... but it's a bagged tea. I have the pyramid bags that brew an entire pot, but the flavor is absolutely wonderful... very light, no bitterness, minimal astringency, doesn't taste artificial at all.
So now, I am on a quest to find a loose oolong to match this flavor. I'm going to play around with an adagio blend a bit, but I haven't figured out a way to bring in the ginger without adding black tea to the mix. I'm hoping Adagio's oolong peach is a close match all on its own... and I am trying a mix of oolong peach and white peach, and I can add a dash of fresh ginger to it if I want it.

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***

Thanks for the recommendation...that combination sounds delightful!! I don't mind using tea bags. Interesting idea about mixing oolong and white peach with a dash of ginger! That sounds lovely!
No ginger, but here is a good one: http://www.revolutiontea.com/oolong-tea/
I usually dislike any fruity/herbed teas, but this is an exception.
