The largest one is the perfect size for a standard bag (100-110g) of sencha, and it's currently holding this year's Shincha Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha


I love the fact that the interiors are made of wood, not tin. The outer lids tend to be a little loose, but the inner lids are super-snug, which is the main thing:


Cherry bark is a warm, sensual, and beautifully textured wood (albeit a little hard to photograph well - it gleams so much):

I'm mainly a pottery girl, but I have to admit that the Japanese do fantastic things with wood and lacquer, too!
