Mmmmmm ... I love Golden Monkey too! It's a bit more expensive than Assam is but worth it.

I second Yunnan Gold and also recommend a Yunnan FOP. Have you tasted Lapsang Souchong?

I strongly recommend yunnan gold - especially from Rishi. Amazing quality. Despite what people say here - I have dealt with them since 2002 and have had a fantastic experience.

Adagio's Golden Monkey, more than any other tea, GOT me into the tea hobby. I recently ordered tall canisters of both the Golden Monkey and Yunnan Gold though, and while slightly similar in character, I found myself preferring the Yunnan Gold much, much more.
