Sadly, I belive the time has come to make posting available only if you have an account, getting an account more difficult, and posting more difficult. The few pervs have ruined for the rest of us prervs, who prefer not to post our pervishnes on a tea website, or anywhere on the internet for that reason....

Now that's more like it! LoL
The only reason I don't agree with Marlene is that it would also make it more difficult for the people who come along with one specific question. Otherwise I'd totally agree that we need to become more discerning. Believe it or not, the forums on www.narniaweb.com have a set-up where the mods have to approve every post from a "new" user, and I think you're "new" until you've posted 25 times or something. That's a little excessive I think. If there were some sort of happy medium, it'd be great, but I don't wanna make tons more work for Ilya and Chris. 'Cos then they wouldn't get to work on our t-shirts

In my experience as an admin, there are more spammers out there that use the number-replaced words than the actual words. I don't even bother filtering most of the "real" words anymore. It's actually kinda nice, since it minimizes false hits (very few people send you actual e-mails with number substitution).
You'd be suprised how much more often st0ck and v1agra show up than stock and viagra.

Agreed. For example, earlier this month a guest (Brit_brat100) asked about the use of display teas (in the thread Display teas?). She had a definite question. Although some guests don't really have anything to say. How does one find the middle road?
