I had a problem with one of the first two Yixings I purchased... tea didn't taste very good from either. In one, it tasted very bad.
Is yixing supposed to have strong clay smell to it? I have only one and I use it for everything. But sometimes, esp with delicate tea, I can taste clay flavor. I don't consider it a bad taste but does this ever go away and if so how long?

Clay smells either clay itself didn't age enough before being made into teapot/teapot heated at low temperature in a kiln.

Solution to this question is using a boiling water or to be boiled in a long time, in my opinion.
