Nomination of Russian Soul

by Salsero » Jul 25th, '08, 16:15

OK, after being the grinch, I am posting this nomination without a poll so we can talk first and push buttons later ... or not. I am impressed with RussianSoul for her breadth of tea interests: blacks, Chinese and Japanese greens, and oolongs, as well as her fluency at describing the experience (see her oolong post: http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?p= ... ght=#52699). On the other hand, most of her posts are in TeaDay, and the tea conversation gets buried in a lot of girl talk. She may never have set foot in the IM.

She is a sort of artist, which may account for some of her sensibilities, or may be totally unrelated to the forum. I don't think she has ever mentioned her wares on the forum and I know she does not provide a link to the website that sells them: http://www.mostlyglass.com/Artists/Zoni ... inpage.htm

So I guess, I think she would be fun in ITD, but I would like to hear other opinions.

I also toyed with the idea of Henley, but ... for the moment I think even I would vote against her, despite some nice teaware photos and a pleasantly feisty attitude.

Damnit, you've taken away my ability to make a snap judgment! Curses.

You know, I don't have anything against RS, but you're right: most of her posts are in TeaDay. At this particular time, I don't know that she'd really bring anything to ITD other than chatter...and we do enough of that on our own.

The oolong post was impressive. (But it is only oolong)

For the rest I have nothing else to add. I would wait a little.
Perhaps she should be encouraged to post in other parts of Teachat.

Pass on the same grounds as Salsero declined Aphroditea for...
He has persuaded me to change my vote there if I could. Such irony.

I won't even consider this until that damn icon stops rolling around.

I have, for now, given up trying to figure out what makes for a good ITD candidate.

Oh screw it - let's all just ditch ITD and leave photographs of our asses on the welcome thread. :P
