I don't know Columbus very well. I do know there's virtually no proper teahouses in Cincy. I mean, there's "tea houses" that serve fingerfoods and one or two kinds of black tea, but they don't count...

Ahh, how I wish for a Savannah or Sherlock's here...

What's a Savannah or Sherlock's?

I'd highly recommend ZenCha on High Street. It has a wonderful atmosphere, the teas are superb (there is a carefully selected menu) and the service is top-notch. If you stop in, tell I-Cheng & Wendy I said hi!

Oh, and btw, Tad, Cincinnati will have a "proper" teahouse coming in February (barring any additional construction delays). In the meantime, you might like Tea Cozy Cottage or Kaori in Covington. You can read more about Essencha in this little Enquirer blurb.
