I am receiving 2 FTC/Cert. Org. from Rishi. One is Spring Sprout.
The other is Ancient Tea Flower
I am also getting a sample of their Kagoshima Organic Sencha.

Their Kagoshima #24 was what got me serious about Japanese tea. I remember it as a sweet, thick and luscious fukamushi, really like nothing I have had since. It doesn't seem to be offered any more and even back then the reports were that it was very inconsistent from one order to the next. Course memory plays tricks on us, especially memory of first times.

I tried almost everyone of their Kagoshima offerings. I liked 4, Kagoshima 24 was not one of them which mystified me since a bunch of TeaChatters liked it.Salsero wrote:Their Kagoshima #24 was what got me serious about Japanese tea. The 4 I liked have all trickled back onto availablity. Fukamushi, Asamushi, Special Hika, and Nishio. My experience with these 4 would lead me to try them again and recommend them.

YES, I remember the days of yore when Space was a "Rishi Tea Plant."Salsero wrote:Space recommended it to me. Back then he was their spokesmodel. There was even talk then that what I had was mislabeled.Chip wrote: which mystified me since a bunch of TeaChatters liked it.

He introduced me to not only Rishi, but the whole Fair Trade concept.

again - I won't be able to post pictures untill 20th - I get me camera back then. But untill then, one more thing - I found a sweet little spot - 200 to 205 deg for 65 -70 seconds. Less pronounce flowery scent, its still there but its as if it is mixed with sugarcane - not sugar - sugarcan. For some this may not be desireable as in terms of intensity of the taste - its just a couple of notches above the white tea.
Psshh none of us are ever "plants" for any tea companies >.>Chip wrote:YES, I remember the days of yore when Space was a "Rishi Tea Plant."Salsero wrote:Space recommended it to me. hey guys...I am not a tea plant...I just want to share my experiences. Actually in the begining I was not impressed at all by the itoen teas...especially their gyokuro - but the second time around it is really good.
You see - as for rishi - I just plain love their SN from the very begining. And now this one, is surpassing the silver needle in every possible way. I can't believe I literally wasted the 1st one I had...
