Removing bitterness from your mouth

by taitea » Aug 15th, '08, 10:58

Sometimes this will happen to me: I messed up my first brew and made it too bitter, thus resulting in my mouth tasting bitter. Are there any tricks for getting rid of the bitterness left in my mouth so that I can enjoy the next brew (assuming I don't screw up the next brew) ?

You can try to eat some white bread.

How about eating or drinking something that's sweet?

How about throwing away your messed up infusion and drink the second. That is what I do.

But I don't usually realize that it's messed up until I noticed the bitterness in my mouth.

Thanks for all the other suggestions.

Chew on the leaves and they'll reabsorb the bitterness.
