The one I picked up is by Hario Glass, which is a Japanese Glass manufacturer that seems to be quite hard to find in the US. I have only seen their pieces offered here and there from a variety of vendors, each typically only having one or two pieces from them. This one in particular I picked up at my favorite kitchen store (actually a restauraunt supply store) in SF. I have seen the single and double walled versions of the first one I posted, although a bit leery of ordering a double walled version of it. That one is available on Amazon through some 3rd party store, and a few other vendors that I have seen.

oh yeah, didn't notice it was double walled. That's not the same one then, and I know I didn't see it on Amazon. I guess I'll have to dig through my bookmarks. :?

Yeah it's around on a variety of vendors. It's your standard item that comes from one factory and sold at a variety of stores.

Teance has the single walled version.

Geekgirl, I love that photo. Wonderful photography work there.

Drinking oolong #8 right now.
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

Hello, everyone. I've missed tuning into teachat, but I wasn't feeling very well. I wanted to send a special shoutout to bronzebed for a lovely package of teas she sent me--thank you!

I voted for not really shopping but not ruling things out. I feel like I still have a bit to learn before investing in more teaware than what I already have. For now, my wares work well enough, and I want to bide my time to make sure i'm investing well when I take the full plunge. In the meantime, if something cute jumps in front of me, I certainly wouldn't say no. ;) I do want a gaiwan in the not-too-distant future...

The only tea I drank today was iced. Four cups of iced mango melange/yunnan jig combo. Work was so busy that I just didn't have time for hot tea today....

Away much of the day, but still managed to have 2 great sencha. Still sipping the 5th steep pf Kunpu.

I have been admiring Geek's photos. Not only are they nicely composed and beautiful, but I love how she can make a still tea shot abstract.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

found it. Whew!

http://www.teacentre.ca/asian.htm

The one I'm using right now is just a bodum press, 12 oz (which they call "2 cup".) It's a great size for one person/large cup, or 2 person/small cup. But I use it the most for Chai, which we like to have in big stoneware mugs, so I have to brew twice, which is a pain. I'm thinking the 22oz looks pretty good. :)

The first one you can find at lamyx in oakland or Teance in Berkeley. The second one you can get at Kamei at 6th and Clement in SF.
