It says above the shopping cart:
Shipping is free on all orders of $50 and over within the Continental United States. A flat shipping fee of $6 is charged within the Continental United States on all orders under $50. Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and internationally are accessed U.S. Postal Service Priority Airmail charges.
It isn't worded the best that it could be, but obviously doesn't say international shipping is free. Did you really think international shipping should be free? Or did you think it's some kind of glitch and that they would have to pay for it? I think it's obvious that if shipping isn't free within the USA, it's not going to be free outside of it. I would have noticed it was fishy, clicked on the Shipping Info section, and figured it out.

However, they shouldn't give you a clear price, have you confirm it, then charge you more. That would be a little like going to a store, buying some groceries for $50, then getting charged $80 for getting someone to take it out to your car.

I would be pissed off, they need to clearly state in the confirm payment section that shipping prices are determined by {____}. If the receipt and payment confirmation page say $0.00, then that's what you should be charged.

I didn't expect the shipping to be free but by the time I'd got through the checkout, after reloading the shipping calculator numerous times, and had been sent an invoice I thought I was onto a winner.

If they sent me a second invoice with the shipping charge I would have knocked a few things off the order to make it within budget. The fact that they sent me an email the next day saying they had taken the stated amount plus the extra shipping, without asking, pissed me off completely, the cheapest shipping possible also turned out to be first class shipping.

and it does say that shipping for that size of order is free in the USA.

Therein lies the rub... of course international shipping isn't going to be free, but you should get a chance to confirm the total price 'before' you finalize the order, or at least see an invoice with shipping before you are charged, like on ebay...

What a bunch of Shiat. I thought that electronic bills are a legal AND binding contract between both parties agreeing on the price. Just as you can't pull out of th deal after the fact, they cant either. You are not responsible for their technical problems.

For some reason "Rabble" is less of a mob sound and more of a Hamburglar sound to me.

Have you sent Holy Mountain a complaint yet?
