I thought the number was lower. But apparently the 100 billion range is in the upper level of estimates... Guess it depends how far back you start counting them as 'human' and not just 'primate...'

This Chart is pretty interesting too, apparently there were just about a million of our direct ancestors around in 10,000 BC, and as few as 2,000 of us worldwide in 70,000 BC... see, I always say we are all related... kinda scary though...
