Genmaicha this morning, chosen because it felt like a hagi-day today. :)

Then I had this idea that in my shockingly unmowed lawn, hagi would resemble a little egg. Behold:

Super cool pics! Love the blurrrr....GeekGirl. And Sal's, carp cup looks happy.

The only not great TeaDay is one with not enough tea. :D

But today is tea-a-plenty. I too, am enjoying new oolongs. Second infusion of our new Jade is, um, well it's gone...

Happy Friday!

Today's cup: An interesting cup of sencha cold brew from a new vendor. It's a shizuoka sencha, taste reminds me of a yutaka midori, but not as noticeable. I wonder what it is.

GGU: Count your blessings, that grass is pretty green! :) Mine is pretty dead.

Salsero: Awesome work fountain.

I finally brought my tea and kettle into work this week. Couldn't stand not drinking tea or paying $2 bucks for a china green tips from S-bux. :? Tea day is getting better.

Today a parade came past my office (for the Colts game). Went down to the circle to eat my lunch, drink some tea and another parade of elephants marched past, complete with "circus freaks" on their backs. Barnum & Bailey's is in town, aparently . . .

Honestly, my answer is "I cannot remember the last non GREAT TeaDay". I've finally learned enough of what I like that my tea drawer is filled w/a wonderful variety to satisfy whatever mood I'm in. Even w/the oolong samples--if I try one & don't like it, I can always throw it out & make a new pot of something else I know I'll like. The only way my TeaDays could get better would be by having more time to enjoy my teas.

Xine & Cyn, you girls are just being mean teasing us!!! W'sup?!

Nice pics today, Sal & Geekgirl. Especially like the outdoor fountain.

Enjoyed Golden Monkey w/bfast & mediocre Chinese restaurant Oolong tea w/dinner. This restaurant was unusual by adding some Japanese cuisine such as a sushi bar. Found out wasabi is great for opening clogged sinus passages. Why didn't I think of that last week when I was so miserable? Ending the day w/Pouchong.

Zen anti-Zen

You have elephants and dueling parades at your office, and you notice my fake Japanese fountain. Actually, it looks to me like a toilet bowl, so I always smirk at it.

My office mate and co-owner of our building has a bf who said it was a perfect place for a Japanese garden so he put one there, toilet bowl and all. It's too tiny to actually be in, but you can sit in the conference room and look at it through the sliding glass door. Strikes me as sort of anti-zen or zen in a huge terrarium. I can sit in the comfy A/C and observe the world without being in the world. Well, maybe it is leading me to a higher consciousness. Eh! all this time I thought it was just messing with my mind.

Thanks, Augie, for helping me find my inner light. (I'd still rather have the elephants. Image)

The hilight of the parade, for me, was the woman at the end wearing hip-boots and pushing a wheel-barrow loaded with elephant dung and a shovel with a huge smile on her face! If she can do a job like that and plaster a huge $h1T eating grin on her face -- so can the rest of us!

(It does look like a TB -- a very high-end TB, tho . . .)
