16 oz glass tea cup

by TeaFanatic » Feb 5th, '06, 01:17

I would really like it if adagio would carry a 16 oz glass tea cup. I know that the company that normally makes your glass stuff is going out of business, so maybe when you make new versions, you could get one cup that is a little bigger?

Anyone find anything like this somewhere else?

16 oz cup

I second that! A cup that will hold the same amount as the IngenuiTEA would be great. The cups that I used with the old IngenuiTEA don't work as well with the new design. It is just a small problem. But a 16 oc cup that does fit under would be great.

hum....Adagio used to carry a 16 oz clarity cup...but i see that it has since morphed into a 12oz cup. bummer.

i still use mine with the jumbo cup...it doesn't "fit" perfectly, but if i hold the release to the edge, it works for me.

I would love buy some more 16 oz mugs that would work with such things though.

I just purchased the 16 oz. IngenuiTEA and a Clarity cup, I fill the IngenuiTEA up to the top and it fits perfectly into the clarity cup. Maybe I got the 16 oz cup? I could have sworn it was the 12 oz one though, it just arrived earlier this week.

Didn't we have this conversation earlier TeaF?
:p

The Anchor Hocking Glass Cafe Mug's seem to be the only thing out there that fits the bill.

I didn't like Jaener's design on glassware, because while pretty, they seemed wayyy to delicate and their heat retention left something to be desired.

We did talk about this earlier, I just wanted to see if anyone found anything else that they used. :)

160z cup

by Lynn » Feb 6th, '06, 16:17

WallMart has a heavy glass 160z cup that retains the heat well and really works good with the old Ingenuitea. The base on the new (wavy handle) IngenuiTea is a frog hair small as it fits a little to tight. It still is usable though. Hope this helps.

Hey Kai and anyone else interested,

I found a set of 6, 16 oz glass mugs at target.com (and probably at local target stores). Here is the link:

I'm almost positive that's the same as the Anchor-Hocking set we looked at. In fact, my amazon order says it shipped from Target.

I should be receiving it in a few days.

I third the idea of having a 16 oz mug made by Adagio, I love the Jenaer style cups and am curious how Adagio will pick up where they left off.

The clarity cup is technically 12oz, but if you fill it to the rim, you can squeeze in an extra 4oz of tea. It's really ideally suited to work with the ingenuiTEA.

oh i feel silly...i've had the 12oz all along and filled it to the top.
i never realized that the 12 oz measure included "room."

when i could get my whole ingenutea pot in there I just assumed.

learn something new everyday! thanks ilya! :D

i've not tried it with the new ingenutea...but it works wonderfully with the 1.o
